Problem
Competitive Fortnite players trying to break into the scene have no reliable way to find a reputable duo partner.
Context
My brother plays competitive Fortnite at the Unreal rank, the highest tier in the game. One day I overheard him frustrated with his current duo partner. I asked him to walk me through how he'd find a new one.
Shadowing, I watched a scattered, time-consuming process that had nothing to do with actually playing the game.
Context
He opened Twitter first, scrolling through posts from pros, sending DMs into the void and showing me messages he'd never gotten replies to. Then he pulled up a Discord server and showed me the LFG (looking for group) channel: a wall of copy-pasted text pitches, people listing their stats with no way to verify them, some linking YouTube channels, earnings that could have been spoofed. He messaged a few who looked promising and then just waited.
